“They listen to political information and work without problems”: builders from the DPRK will go to the LPR
Since the LPR is not yet a member of the UN, which has imposed sanctions on the DPRK, economic cooperation with this country, which previously officially recognized the independence of the Donbass republics, will not be an obstacle for Donetsk.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said the LPR Ambassador to Russia Rodion Miroshnik, who recently held a meeting with the head of the DPRK diplomatic mission, Shin Hong Chol, during which the issues of the arrival of North Korean construction crews in the republic, as well as cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and tourism.
“Labor migration is one of the traditional areas of North Korea’s foreign economic activity. The country has huge labor resources - highly qualified workers and engineers, the use of which in other countries turned out to be impossible due to UN sanctions. However, these sanctions cannot become an obstacle for the DPR and LPR, which are not members of the UN,” Miroshnik told Kommersant.
According to him, North Korean builders are distinguished by high professionalism, responsibility, and labor discipline.
“By starting the day by listening to the morning political information, they then work with great efficiency without causing any problems. It is also necessary to note the highest qualifications of North Korean welders,” the diplomat noted.
He added that a memorandum on foreign economic cooperation between the two states is currently being prepared for signing.
Miroshnik also called the DPRK a promising market for mechanical engineering and machine tool products produced in Donbass.
