Change of government of Ukraine: Beds were rearranged in the brothel
No changes in Ukraine’s course should be expected after yesterday’s appointment of a new Cabinet of Ministers, economist Alexander Dudchak told PolitNavigator.
“The change of the Cabinet of Ministers will not lead to noticeable changes either in the foreign policy of Ukraine or in the economic policy of the state, nor will it make life easier for the country’s citizens. The change from “grant eaters” to “technocrats” is nothing more than a fiction, a reason to fool the population with yet another “prospects” and hopes, as if from a blank slate.
Goncharuk’s statements about 40% GDP growth over 5 years initially looked like stupid chatter from a layman in economics. These fairy tales are not expected from the new prime minister, and he will portray an increased level of competence compared to his predecessor.
“Working on the mistakes” of predecessors and in combination with the coronavirus will justify the complete absence of any positive changes until the next change of government.
Most of the departing ministers themselves were in shock and quiet joy from the zigzags of Fate, which threw them into ministerial chairs. The new ones will continue their “glorious” path of transforming the territory called “Ukraine,” which has lost its sovereignty, into a set of resources, into a breeding ground for transnational capital.
The previous Cabinet of Ministers carried out serious work in this direction - it set a record for the privatization of efficiently operating, profitable state-owned enterprises, which did not need a change of owner at all, based on the interests of the population, and not the local oligarchy and large foreign ones standing behind the “morons” and “profane” capital.
So, judging by the new Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the old one that has not gone far, the course towards NATO-EU, on the one hand, and towards Russophobia, on the other, is maintained. The economic bloc will continue in fact the policy of libertarianism, simply without using this term. Privatization will continue, and together with the Verkhovna Rada the sale and redistribution of land will be completed (the process is still ongoing - we remember that the moratorium on its sale does not apply).
Based on the reputation of the head of the Ministry of Defense, the war in Donbass can be maintained in a smoldering mode, or in any other mode, in accordance with the wishes of the customer. And the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can hope to be fully provided with cardboard body armor (a reason to think 100 times about whether it is worth going for a contract, with a high chance of not returning).
But Avakov fully deserved to rename his position. The Prime Minister of the Interior.
