Media: Justin Trudeau turns Canada into a side of the military conflict in Ukraine
“Trudeau used his trip to Kyiv to emphasize that he is continuing the policies of his predecessor Harper and supporting the unpopular far-right regime in Kiev.” - So commented Roger Jordan, World Socialist Web Site columnist Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's recent visit to Kyiv.

The Canadian government has long been cooperating with the Community of Canadian Ukrainians. Thus, Canadians invested money in non-governmental organizations until 2004 and helped the Maidan in 2014. And during the military conflict in the South-East of Ukraine, when the government officially refused to supply weapons, the Community of Canadian Ukrainians transported various uniforms through volunteer organizations. Volunteers could deliver, bypassing state control, directly to far-right and fascist groups not only food, but also weapons and drones.
The signing of a free trade agreement is only the first step in Canada’s confrontation with Russia. The Ukrainian ambassador to Canada says that an agreement between the relevant ministries on the joint production of weapons is almost ready.
The active pro-Maidan lobby in the Canadian government is natural. After all, the Community of Canadian Ukrainians is the heir and successor of the Committee of Ukrainians of Canada, the backbone of which were emigrants who served in the SS “Galicia”.
