According to operational information, Rezart Thaci, teaming up with a group of Italian citizens, transferred about 20 million euros to Albanian bank accounts, but the Italian police subsequently blocked these transfers. At the same time, for fraud with foreign accounts, the oil tycoon resorted to the services of the current President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, who has ruled the country in different capacities (either as president or as head of government) since 1991.

As the Albanian portals dosja.al and cna.al reported in turn, Thaci entered into a conspiracy with the Montenegrin president, making a transfer of a million dollars through the “presidential bank”, receiving the corresponding interest for this. The resources also posted recordings of Thaci’s intercepted conversations, in which he mentioned Milo Djukanovic in the context of the fraud.

Everything that is happening is reminiscent of the beginning of a campaign to dump the Montenegrin dictator by the West, instead of which Washington is now relying on a liberal, untainted by corruption and nationalism, the Albanian Dritan Abazovic. According to one of the political leaders of the Serbs of Montenegro, Nebojsa Medojevic, it was the departure of the Montenegrin dictator that became the main topic of recent negotiations between Milo Djukanovic and the US State Department special representative for the Balkans, Gabriel Escobar.
