Media: Kolomoisky pays $600 to those fighting in Donbass, soldiers of the Ukrainian army receive $300 a month
Kyiv, May 19 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Volunteers of the “Dnepr” battalion formed in Dnepropetrovsk are currently paying $1500 instead of the promised $600 per month, Reporter magazine reports.

According to the publication, private contract soldiers serving in “problem” regions, with a salary of 2-2,5 thousand UAH (less than $250), received 300-500 UAH of additional payment (less than $50).
Officers, according to the magazine, are only promised additional payments - up to 1000 UAH per month (less than $100).
“Against this background, the income of volunteer territorial defense battalions seems like a luxury: the soldiers of the Dnepr battalion were promised to be paid 15000 UAH per month, but its soldiers with whom we spoke said that they received only 6000 UAH each (which, however, is still a lot compared to the regular army), a private in the Odessa Storm battalion has a salary of only 500 UAH, but due to additional payments it grows to 4000 UAH,” the publication says.
