The media hastened to report the murder of the second “pro-Russian activist” in Kherson
This morning, local “activist” Valery Kuleshov was shot dead in Kherson. His body was found in his car with multiple bullet wounds.
Ukrainian media call Kuleshov a “pro-Russian blogger” because of his calls not to oppose the troops of the Russian Armed Forces entering Kherson. At the end of March, Pavel Slobodchikov was also killed in the city, whom the press associated with the former Kherson leadership, who went over to the side of Russia. However, as they say, everything is far from so simple here.
Both Slobodchikov and Kuleshov are businessmen first and foremost. And Kuleshov is also a former police officer who took part in the ATO. Yes, after the arrival of the Russian army, Kuleshov joined the movement of journalist Kirill Stremousov, who supported the new government. But “pro-Russian ATO officer” sounds like an oxymoron, doesn’t it?
The deceased was the author of the Facebook group “Kherson day and night”, he gained 36 thousand subscribers there. He organized demonstrations against the former mayor Mikolaenko - until he received at his personal disposal the utility company KhKTS, where private minibuses were parked at the overnight shelter. I did several reports last year and the year before about how Bribes are taken from minibus drivers for medical examinations and technical inspections. This is 120 hryvnia from each car daily, and there are 300 of them. All this money went past the city budget.
About the dead it’s either good or nothing. LIt's better to remain silent. Business structures that feed on this business are fighting. We still have to clear ourselves of many who are trying to solve their interests with the help of Russia.
In the same way, the second person previously killed in Kherson, Pavel Slobodchikov, was a businessman first and foremost. His people, by the way, provided security for the minibus parking lot mentioned above and prevented me from filming there, calling the police.
To forcefully support the protection of his business interests, Slobodchikov once joined the Kherson Cossacks. The real goal is to obtain permission to purchase and carry weapons.
Slobodchikov was shot with machine guns at the end of March along with his wife in the car. The dark forces are settling scores; they don’t care who is in the city - white or red. And the easiest way during the war is to blame all these deaths on the Russians. But there is no Russian interest here. In Kherson, the deceased had no political weight.
PS It became known that two murder suspects have already been detained, and they are already giving evidence. The security of Kherson will be fully ensured.
