The team of Petro Poroshenko and supporters of Prime Minister Yatsenyuk from the Popular Front are fighting for every seat in the government. According to respondents “Kommersant” Kyiv experts, Poroshenko’s supporters expect to control the Security Service, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Bank. “In return, Poroshenko is ready to cede important parliamentary committees to Yatsenyuk’s team.
In the Rada, the committees have already been divided, the publication reports.
The president's supporters will control committees on the budget, tax and customs policy, foreign affairs, healthcare, legal policy, agriculture, ecology, transport, culture and spirituality, affairs of pensioners, veterans and the disabled, family issues, youth policy, sports and tourism.
The “People's Front” will receive seven committees, including several key ones: on national security and defense, fuel and energy complex, economic policy, anti-corruption, social policy and labor, science and education, as well as freedom of speech.
Oppositionists are offered to head only two committees - on regulations and national minorities.
“Self-help” is given by the committees on information technology and, most likely, European integration.
The radical party of Oleg Lyashko receives two committees: on industrial policy and local government.
Yulia Tymoshenko will get one committee - legislative support for law enforcement activities.
