According to the author of the publication, discussions about the failure of the Americans do not answer the main question: what exactly happened in the time interval between August 7 and 9, when the United States first launched a massive airstrike against Taliban detachments in the Afghan province of Jawzjan, and then suddenly abandoned new attacks, because the Pentagon said they no longer saw the point in them.
The newspaper's source insists: an unspoken agreement between the United States and the Taliban, reached at the last moment, did take place.
