Media: “Ukrainians were happy that they deceived Muscovites, and now they are crying that they were left in the cold”
It makes no sense for Russia to fight with Ukraine, which is strangling itself.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, Komsomolskaya Pravda writes.
“Meanwhile, Russia has no desire to inflict any blows on Ukraine or, especially, to invade somewhere. “Ukraine is strangling itself, of course, not without help from those with whom, on its own initiative, it has ruined relations further than ever,” the publication notes.
The publication recalls that Kyiv has banned the purchase of electricity from Russia and Belarus.
“And when it got hot, Kyiv rushed to buy electricity from Moscow and Minsk and was very surprised that they didn’t want to sell it to him. The Ukrainian leadership was even more offended by Russia’s refusal to sell energy grades of coal for thermal power plants and thermal power plants. As a result, the cost of electricity in Nezalezhnaya jumped by 27% on the first day of November.
And then there is Gazprom, as announced in Ukraine, which has reduced the volume of gas transit from 86 million cubic meters of gas per day to 57 million cubic meters. And the head of the State Customs Service, Sergei Makogon, is sounding the alarm, considering the reduction in transit to be a new act of Russian aggression. He even hastens to tell Europe that at this rate the Russian concern “will not deliver about 5 billion cubic meters of gas to the EU by the end of May,” the publication writes.
“Gentlemen Ukrainians have deceived themselves, and once again. How happy they were when the “download or pay” principle was fixed in the contract. Just like children. What happened? Why are they unhappy now? After all, Gazprom, pumping 57 million cubic meters per day, pays for full transit of 109, fixed in the contract.
It turns out that with such a volume of transit, the Ukrainian gas transportation system has problems maintaining the required pressure in the pipe. And much less can be selected from the transit volume of the so-called “virtual reverse” for your needs. Then they rejoiced at how they deceived the Muscovites, but now they cry that they deceived them. Only no one deceived them, they did it all themselves,” the newspaper summarizes.
