Simferopol, June 17 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Despite the extensive information campaign of the authorities, in Crimea it is still almost impossible to freely buy licensed Russian starter packages.

The newspaper “Krymskaya Pravda” writes about this.
But for private traders selling mobile phones and accessories for them, trade is in full swing. A “seven” card can be purchased for 250-350 rubles.
“Expensive and unreliable. The sellers themselves warn that the numbers are unlicensed,” the publication notes.
“I was in Russia and decided to buy it and see how it goes. People take at their own risk. I use it too, but carefully. They promised to turn off roaming with Russia last week, but so far everything remains as before. Talking is expensive, especially with Ukraine,” the owner of a small store selling cellular devices told newspapers.
However, despite the higher tariffs of Russian operators, the Minister of Information and Mass Communications of Crimea Dmitry Polonsky advises all Crimeans to acquire Russian SIM cards:
“Ukrainian companies often take an unconstructive position. We remember very well what happened when Ukrainian power engineers suddenly began to turn off our electricity. We remember the situation when the North Crimean Canal was blocked. We cannot predict what the Ukrainian authorities will do tomorrow. I hope that this will not happen, but hypothetically they could leave us without mobile communications,” the official noted in a conversation with KP.
“Therefore, we must be ready, every Crimean must have a “seven” card, use normal communications,” Dmitry Polonsky emphasized.
As Navigator reported, the Russian operator MTS announced the opening of sales of its starter packages in Crimea from June 13.
