The weekly magazine “First Crimean” writes about this.
As the director of the educational and production complex Yuriy Guz told the publication, immediately after the referendum on May 16, all property belonging to Ukrainian public or trade union organizations became the property of their Crimean structural divisions. The Deaf Society in Crimea had two such divisions - a public organization and a training and production plant. The head of the public organization Vitaly Gannesen decided to subjugate the “production workers”, calling into question their structural independence from his organization.
On the morning of October 27, about a dozen people in camouflage, balaclavas and bulletproof vests armed with pistols burst into the factory territory, taking security over the production premises, the accounting department and the entrance to the enterprise.
Gannesen, by his order, removed director Guz from his post, also ordering an inventory to be taken and all property transferred to the balance sheet of the public organization. The offices were sealed and people were not allowed into their workplaces.
But the raiders managed to take possession of other people’s property in just under a day. The very next morning at the Ministry of Social Policy of Crimea. At a meeting of the UPP team, employees decided that in an enterprise that has a collective form of ownership, they themselves will decide who should be the director and what to do with their property.
The workers of the enterprise very emotionally asked the raiders to leave the territory. They began to rudely push the women away and twist their arms. But this did not help - after 15 minutes, Gannesen and his foremen were literally pushed out of the sewing workshop and for now abandoned their claims to the property of the enterprise.
The reason for the “show mask” for members of the deaf community is clear - from the beginning of 2015, public organizations of people with disabilities will not be able to count on social support from either the local or federal budgets. In the Russian Federation, these organizations live at the expense of production enterprises, which are exempt from paying taxes on land and profits.
“So for the leadership of the republican society of the deaf, a raider seizure was the only way out - even in court it would take too long to claim this property,” writes First Crimean.
According to the publication, the administration of the enterprise filed a statement with the police - law enforcement officers must check the legality of Gannesen’s actions to capture the “seamstress”, and also evaluate the actions of his guards, who used force against disabled women.
