Media: Yatsenyuk is preparing bankruptcy of Antonov at the request of the United States
Moscow - Kyiv, April 21 (Navigator - Mikhail Stamm) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, appointed by the Verkhovna Rada, signed an order to dismiss the legendary director of the Antonov aircraft concern Dmitry Kiva at the request of Western creditors, writes RG. They intend to stop all Ukrainian enterprises that compete with Western ones and cooperate with the Russian defense industry.

The clouds over the head of the 71-year-old designer Kiva, who was hospitalized with a heart attack, thickened during the Euromaidan, when he refused to send his employees to protests, the newspaper writes.
Despite Kiva’s advanced age, in Ukraine there is simply no person of such a level, with a worldwide reputation, who could occupy this post, says Nikolai Podgrebelny, vice-president of the Antonov state concern.
The matter is heading towards bankruptcy of the enterprise and its sale to new overseas owners, says senior dispatcher of the concern Lydia Shulga. “It is clear that the West does not need a competitor. But it’s unclear why our government doesn’t need us,” she told Vesti 24.
The publication's experts are confident that Yatsenyuk's decision was made at the suggestion of Western creditors. Access to IMF finance, as has already been made clear in Washington and Brussels, lies through the closure of a large number of industrial enterprises, especially those working for the Russian defense industry. For Americans, the bankruptcy of the plant will open access to the technologies of the most load-lifting aircraft in the world, including the long-range transport An-124 Ruslan and the super-heavy An-225 Mriya. Also recently, the An-70 military transport aircraft was developed for Russia.
The newspaper recalls that under Yushchenko, in 2009, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and winner of numerous state prizes and awards, Kiva, was hit on the head with a heavy object in the entrance of his own house and ended up in intensive care. Then one of the Kyiv publications connected this incident with interest in the assets of Antonov, which could be privatized as part of the concept of reforming the industry, which was repeatedly voiced, including by a number of foreign countries.
