“The Watcher” Poroshenko was taken away in an ambulance after Zelensky’s speech
Another interesting detail surrounds today’s inauguration ceremony of Vladimir Zelensky, where the new president announced the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada - one of the deputies from the Poroshenko Bloc was hospitalized.
“And this is a good or bad sign: Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Nikolai Palamarchuk was hospitalized immediately after the inauguration of Vladimir Zelensky. According to preliminary information, he has a hypertensive crisis,” Kiev journalist Denis Gorokhovsky wrote in his blog.
Palamarchuk, a police general, originally from Western Ukraine, held leadership positions in the Kherona region (the Ukrainian media called him until recently Petro Poroshenko’s “watcher” for this region) and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Not long ago, Palamarchuk’s name appeared in the scandal surrounding the murder of Maidan activist Ekaterina Handzyuk in Kherson, who was doused with acid as a result of a squabble between local ruling clans.
In 2014, the State Council of Crimea included Palamarchuk on the list of persons whose presence on the territory of the peninsula is undesirable.
