First the LDPR, and then the whole of Ukraine will return to Russia
The Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics must be part of Russia. Intellectual and historian Anatoly Wasserman said this on air on the Red Line TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He also emphasized that the LPR and DPR are only a small part of the all-Russian economic complex, and in the future, according to him, all of Ukraine must inevitably return to the fold of Russia. According to Wasserman, the new head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, will also work on this.

“Now, after such a sudden change of leadership, the next leader will most likely take the interests of the republic, and the region as a whole, closer to heart, since now a significant part of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions is occupied by Kiev terrorists. And, I think, he will take closer to heart the interests of Donbass as a single whole, and these, let me remind you, are three whole regions - Donetsk, Lugansk and Rostov.
Initially, it was a single production complex, and even when Ukraine was cut off from the rest of Russia, Kyiv was unable to break these intra-Donbass ties.
Of course, the entire Donbass as a whole, all these three regions, is only a very small part of the all-Russian economy. As far as I can judge, it is unlikely that it will be possible to be close to Russia - there will not be enough economic independence, and, therefore, there will not be enough political independence. I hope that, ultimately, all of Ukraine will return to Russia, but I am afraid that this will happen very slowly,” Wasserman said.
