“First the Normandy format, then the exchange” – Zelensky
The exchange of prisoners between the LPR, DPR and Ukraine will not take place until the Normandy format meeting.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stated this at a meeting with journalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of the Ukrainian state said that the lists for the exchange are already ready and it can be carried out at any time.
“We have these lists, we are ready even tomorrow. I’ll be honest, the Russian side declares to us that, in principle, without the “Normandy format” we will not get to this issue. This is true. Why am I in a hurry with the “Normandy format”, because for me this is one of the great achievements of our country - resolving the issue of returning people. There's a big list of people and we have a lot of them, that's true. Therefore, these lists have already been prepared by our side, we are ready,” Zelensky said.
