“First they robbed, then they set fire to the houses,” residents of Nizhnyaya Krynka about the National Guard (PHOTO)
Donetsk, 04 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) - The tragedy that occurred in Nizhnyaya Krynka, near Donetsk, caused shock and indignation in Donetsk, Moscow, and Brussels. The mass graves of civilians found here after the withdrawal of Ukrainian security forces cannot be called anything other than a war crime.

Many human rights activists representing international organizations unanimously call this an unconventional method of warfare, and demand an investigation and punishment of those responsible.
The agency's correspondent had the opportunity to visit Nizhnyaya Krynka, where he not only saw this evidence of a terrible tragedy, but also how people live here now.
The burials themselves are no longer cordoned off, the bodies have been taken away for examination and subsequent burial, but you can still see rare but terrible details of what happened.
One could see pieces of the rope with which the hands of the unfortunate were tied, or, for example, a clump of women’s hair: it was in this place that civilians, including women, were shot.
A PolitNavigator correspondent talked to local residents who had to experience a lot. Life here is hard. People are without gas and electricity, there is no money, and food is still hard to come by. They eat what they have on the farm: some have chickens, others have vegetables in their gardens, many change products.
In a conversation with a local woman, it turned out that her nephew, the only relative who lived with her, disappeared three weeks ago. I just went out for bread, and she is still waiting for him. She can hardly speak, there are tears in her eyes all the time. They brought her photographs with fragments of clothing from the people found, but she did not identify him, and now lives in constant anticipation.
Another local woman had several National Guardsmen lodging in her house: “At first we only had conscripts in Krynka. They were normal, everyone was polite, they even helped us, like they brought humanitarian aid. And then they came, the National Guard. And then this began...And they shot everywhere and stole. Three people lived with me, they ate everything that was in the house, and when they left, they set the house on fire. Now you see what happened to the house. On the other side of Krynka, behind the bridge, they also threw bombs at the house and shot at the neighbors with machine guns. At least they didn’t kill anyone..."
When leaving, they fired not only at residential buildings. The local mine was also shelled, which was actually put out of action, and bridges were blown up.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier aboutDPR officials announced the discovery of shocking graves in the villages of Nizhnyaya Krynka and Kommunar, where shot men and women were found, and, in one of the cases, the bodies of 40 people without internal organs.
A local resident showed a dried up well, which the guards had mined. At the very bottom there are several mines. If you go down there or just throw any object, a powerful explosion will occur. Why this was done is unclear. But the militia and local residents walk here very carefully, afraid of stumbling upon such “surprises.” And, unfortunately, there will be many more of them.
