“First Zmeiny Island, then Kyiv!” – Saakashvili revealed Putin’s lightning-fast invasion plan
Russian President Vladimir Putin can land tens of thousands of paratroopers in Odessa or Kherson in just a few hours.
The former president of Georgia, who fled his country from criminal prosecution, ex-governor of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili, stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ideological preparation is underway... Putin is testing the West’s reaction to his statements and actions. IN Putin's article there were absolutely clear things, he spoke about Kyiv, the idea is no longer in Novorossiya and Donbass, but I’m not even talking about Crimea, but the main goal is Kyiv, Putin clearly wrote.
Also, for the first time, the name of Zmeiny Island appeared; most Ukrainians don’t even know where Zmeiny Island is, but Putin wrote about it. Because this is one of the invasion plans, it means they have several plans,” he said.
“The first plan is more conservative: to capture Zmeiny Island, where Ukrainian special forces are stationed, which will not be able to withstand a massive Russian landing.
So that you understand, Russia can land ten thousand paratroopers on its floating craft in 7-8 hours, which means they can land ten thousand paratroopers in a day - be it in Odessa, Kherson or Zmeiny Island,” concluded Mikheil Saakashvili.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they said that NATO countries are systematically pumping Ukraine up with weapons and training its military, but this is just a screen behind which there is no real potential.
