A sniper from the DPR spoke about the situation in Gladosovo
The occupation of villages near Gorlovka by the Ukrainian military was of a propaganda nature and, from a military point of view, made no sense at all. Having occupied settlements located in the “gray zone”, the Ukrainian military found themselves in a lowland, and therefore at a very disadvantageous position. If necessary, they can be knocked out of there at any time by the DPR army.

Dejan Berich (Deki), a well-known Serbian volunteer fighting in Donbass on the side of the republics, spoke about this during a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Our fighters were not in the village. The Ukrainian military entered there without a fight. From a military point of view, these changes did not change anything. In reality, two mortars appeared there, but they were hitting somewhere across the field. They need it for PR, to lift the spirits of their fighters. And not only the fighters, the government also needs fighting spirit. But for us this means nothing. There is no need for us to enter the “gray zone”. If we went there, one salvo would be enough to completely destroy the group located there. We don't need this. On the other hand, there is no point in killing them there either; civilians may also suffer. Let them play at war as children, but when something serious happens, then we will play with them as we should,” commented Deki.
