“A citizen who had taken three hostages and previously shot two people during an attempt to inventory and evict a house was just shot by a sniper.

According to those responsible for the operation, there was no other way to avoid casualties among the hostages.

I personally spoke twice on the phone with the daughter of the deceased and asked her to persuade her father to surrender.

She told me that she tried over the phone to persuade her father to lay down his arms, but he even refused to talk to her.

The man was on the verge of a psychological breakdown (according to the negotiators) and his actions could lead to the death of the hostages.

All three hostages - one woman and two men, OKKO gas station workers - were released without injuries. After the experience, they will be provided with psychological help.

All this was the result of a story that began in 2011, when the shooter’s relatives took out a loan of $21 from a private individual, at exorbitant interest rates, fines and penalties.

Until April 2013, judging by the court decision, interest on the loan was paid, then, apparently, income ceased to allow this.

On February 19, 2015, the Lyubotinsky Gory District Court made a decision to collect the debt, fines and penalties in the amount of more than 800 thousand hryvnia, despite the fact that the plaintiff, judging by the text of the court decision, wanted to collect more than 11 million hryvnia in fines.

It is clear that the mortgage and loan agreement was enslaving and was drawn up in the interests of the lender. And the value of the house is more than the amount of debt.

The price of the loan is three lives lost and one crippled. And also dozens of grief-stricken relatives of the victims,” Verkhovna Rada deputy Anton Gerashenko wrote on his social network page.

Let us recall that a few days ago in Odessa, a man took hostage the sellers of a shopping center, demanding money for the treatment of his sick mother. Subsequently, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Ayvakov stated that among the demands of the attacker was the annexation of the Odessa region to Russia.

However, Odessa politician Vyacheslav Azarov, a former mayoral candidate, believes that Avakov is not telling the truth.

“Without politics, it’s simply a social verdict on the Maidan regime, which has brought its people to such poverty that even medicines at the pharmacy are inaccessible to them... Promoting the topic of such non-political terror is much more dangerous for the regime,” states the Odessa politician.

Let us also recall that Petro Poroshenko vetoed the law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada prohibiting the eviction of citizens from apartments for debts to banks.
