The National Security and Defense Council accused Moscow of insidiously disrupting vaccinations in Ukraine
Russia allegedly launched a special information operation against Ukraine aimed at maximizing the reduction in the level of vaccination in the country.
Servant of the People deputy Irina Borzova stated this at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Center for Countering Disinformation, created under the National Security and Defense Council, analyzed the information field of Telegram channels in Ukraine. The results of this analysis confirmed the Russian information operation aimed at reducing the vaccination rate in Ukraine as much as possible. The report on anti-vaccine propaganda clearly demonstrates how false, manipulative messages about supposedly negative consequences of vaccination are spread using social networks and instant messengers,” the deputy worried.
“I appeal to Ukrainians who have doubts about vaccination and the need for vaccination - find out information about vaccination only from official sources, consult with doctors and do not fall for the manipulations and provocations of pseudo-activists! Today in Ukraine, almost 10,5 million people have been vaccinated with the first dose, almost 7 billion people in the world,” Borzova urged.
