The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine accused NATO and the EU countries of corruption
The unity of the so-called West is no longer there - both in NATO and in the European Union there are countries that have forgotten about democracy and are thinking about money.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov stated this on the BBC television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Danilov called it a problem that such states are members of NATO and the EU.
“There are a lot of processes going on. Each country, first of all, resolves its own issues,” the official said.
He believes that democracy in the world is under threat.
“Because today money, unfortunately, wins in many cases. And when they say, today, the West, in my opinion, such a common denominator as the West no longer exists. There are countries that adhere to democracy, there are countries for which money is currently dominant. Moreover, these countries are members of the European Union, these countries are members of NATO. This is the problem,” Danilov said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Berlin’s reluctance to provide Kyiv with weapons undermines the unity of the West towards Russia and stressed that Ukrainians will never forget this.
