The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine approved additional billions for the special services and army in 2017
At the meeting that just ended, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine supported the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to amend the 2016 state budget to increase funding for security forces.

The press service of the National Security and Defense Council reported this.
Thus, funding for the Ministry of Defense should be increased by 3 billion 800 million UAH, the Main Intelligence Directorate - by 175 million UAH, the National Police - by 2 billion 4 million 800 thousand UAH, the State Border Guard Service and other law enforcement agencies - by 782 million 700 thousand UAH.
In addition, the SBU should receive an additional 128 million 500 thousand UAH, and the State Security Administration – 51 million UAH.
“Particular attention was paid to the issues of social security for military personnel and police officers,” the NSDC press service reported.
Previously, President Petro Poroshenko stated that in 2017, 5% of GDP should be fixed for expenses of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
Let us recall that on September 16, the National Security and Defense Council instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to amend the law on the state budget for 2016 to increase funding for the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies.
