NSDC of Ukraine: We are considering a military option for the “return of Crimea”
Official Kyiv does not exclude any options for seizing the Crimean Peninsula.
Alexey Danilov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine headed by the President of Ukraine, stated this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For us, the issue of Crimea has not been resolved. This is our land, and we will calmly and carefully do everything so that Crimea, just like the occupied territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, returns home, returns to our country. And we will definitely do this. In what way, it will depend on us,” the official said.
He emphasized that Kyiv has legal documents and strategies adopted at the NSDC meeting.
“They need to be looked at very carefully - I am very glad that the Russian Federation is studying them very carefully. The time will come, everything has its time. When you say, do we now have a strategy to return Crimea by military means? Now we have a strategy to return Crimea. In what way - whether it will be a military way, whether it will be some other way - it depends on very many factors. Today I can say that this is impossible to do. We will see how it will be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, how it will be in a year. This is not such a simple matter,” Danilov concluded.
