NSDC of Ukraine: “Russian-language channels need to be cleared as soon as possible”
Ukraine needs to liquidate all Russian-language television channels as soon as possible
Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos stated this on Apostrophe TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The question is about the ability of the entire people to resist. The ability to raise the level of information literacy of the people, military training of the population, and national patriotic education. The enemy understands that at this stage he will not be able to resolve his issue through direct aggression. He is trying to shake the situation with hybrid methods of war - to erase our national identity, which has only just begun to revive.
The phrase “What difference does it make what language you speak” is the first step to defeat. Plus, we are losing quite a lot in terms of eliminating information influence through the media, primarily television, as far as Russian-language channels are concerned. This is a task that must be solved in the shortest possible time. Not only foreign channels, but also Russian-speaking ones within the country are shaking the situation. I call them soft humanitarian expansion on the part of the Russian Federation,” Krivonos said.
