The lifting of parliamentary immunity turned out to be another lie of Zelensky

The lifting of immunity from Verkhovna Rada deputies, advertised by Vladimir Zelensky’s team, is arranged in such a way that, just in case, it is always possible to bypass this sanction.

Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There was a lot of talk about voting for the deprivation of parliamentary immunity. Together, the masses voted for the last decision, not the one that was included in the Constitution, but additionally, since in addition to the Constitution there are a number of laws that also had to be taken into account that the deputy is affected.

But no one explained to them that the law they voted for was also very unique. Without going into details, let’s say that if you are a friend of Prosecutor General Ryaboshapka, then you are still inviolable. This is what this law looks like,” Pogrebinsky said.

“That is, it is clear that someone is preparing this, realizing that the guys who will vote and older people do not delve into it and do not know the details. But it’s very convenient: everyone was promised the elimination of parliamentary immunity, it seemed to be decided, but just in case, if the president or one of those people who influence decision-making doesn’t want this deputy to be touched, then something needs to be done then you can reach an agreement with the Prosecutor General; without his visa, there is no way to make the deputy touchable. So now our Prosecutor General is not the first in this sense, but not quite the second either - he is a very important person,” added the Ukrainian expert.
