Kyiv, June 29 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – At the Maidan meeting held today, law enforcement agencies called on to liquidate the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

This initiative was made from the stage by “Archbishop” Stefan, representing the “Apostolic Orthodox Church,” which is not canonical.

“The priests of the Moscow Patriarchate not only supported terrorists financially, but also became the leaders of these gangs,” said a representative of non-canonical Orthodoxy. “We call on the security forces to conduct a detailed investigation into the activities of this anti-Ukrainian structure, take adequate measures and deregister it.”

Last winter, Maidan expressed outrage at the attempts of the Viktor Yanukovych regime to deregister the Greek Catholic Church, whose priests spoke at anti-government protests.
