The film about “Putin’s palace”, which was recently released by opposition blogger Alexei Navalny, is black PR, contains distortions and false evidence.

Director Alexander Korobko, co-author of the biography of the President of Russia, stated this in an interview with the Tsargrad TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The text is so “killer” (from the word “bribe” to the lack of at least some minimum accuracy, impartiality and objectivity - without context, comment from the other side, etc.) that one thing is obvious - this is black PR. But everything is categorical, indiscriminate, hastily and made not as a film, but as a product of “psychological warfare,” Korobko said.

He draws attention to the fact that Navalny for some reason mentions the archives of the German intelligence service “Stasi”, but does not explain how they are connected with the “palace”.

“The video sequence is simply adjusted to the text. For example, Navalny mentions the catalog of an Italian company that supplies furniture and interior details, and allegedly posted a video with the interior of a “palace.” And then it gives a small frame that disappears in a split second, but you can see that this is... the National Library of the Czech Republic,” Korobko said.

He claims to know who actually owns the “palace,” but refused to name the real owners.

“You understand, I cannot name any names without prior consent. Imagine that several oligarchs decided to chip in and give the president a gift. I think the president internally winced when this was “gifted” to him. In fact, he did not accept it. But it is obvious that the president does not live there, does not rest, and the location itself is half-abandoned. There is not a single photo of him in this “palace” in the film; this gift was clearly not in demand. Putin will probably order to convert it into a departmental sanatorium or a children’s camp like Artek,” Korobko said.
