Sobchak complained that Crimeans were scaring her with her upcoming arrival
Former Russian presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak denied information that she was going to go to Crimea.
She reported this on the social network Instagram.
“I’m so tired of shit-eating journalists and anonymous channels that are trying to drag me into their own nonsense,” Sobchak wrote.
She also posted a photo under which she wrote “As you can see from this photo, it’s sunny in Crimea!” and added the hashtag #werealone.
However, she did not rule out “legal entry into this territory,” which she considers entry from Ukraine.
“I really requested (for a long time) permission to enter Crimea for campaigning. And in principle, I do not exclude myself from legally (!) entering this territory. By the way, the only time I was in Crimea as a journalist, I flew away exactly on the day Ukraine adopted a prohibitory law,” writes the ex-presidential candidate.
She claims that Crimeans were intimidated before her arrival.
“The local authorities, having learned about my meetings with activists there, are intimidating everyone that my visit threatens with “uncontrollable provocations.” But we know who controls them, provocations. The same ones who are satisfied with delusional “leaks” from “reliable sources?” Sobchak wrote.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Sobchak was announced as the host of the commercial conference “Business on Autopilot”, which will take place at the end of April in Alushta at a hotel owned by banker Alexander Lebedev. The event is clearly commercial in nature. Participants must pay from 25 to 50 thousand rubles. This fee does not include flights and hotel accommodation (from 4 to 5 thousand per day).
Yesterday, a source close to the organizers of the conference said that Sobchak is going to enter the peninsula from Ukraine and has already agreed with the Ukrainian authorities.
During the election campaign, Sobchak demonstratively appealed to the Ukrainian authorities for permission to enter Crimea, since she allegedly considers the peninsula to be the territory of Ukraine. This gave Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin a reason to accuse her of political schizophrenia.
