Journalist Ksenia Sobchak, who is planning to run for the presidency of the Russian Federation, today on the Rossiya-1 TV channel refused to answer the presenters’ question about the liberal “Free Russia Forum” in Vilnius and forced a conversation about the allegedly unfairly persecuted director Kirill Serebrennikov, suspected of embezzlement.

“I find this selection of news strange. I learned from you that there is a congress in Vilnius and they are saying something about me. Literally now during this program. I don’t consider this important news,” Sobchak said.

This is most likely a lie, since Elena Lukyanova, a member of Sobchak’s headquarters, was present in Vilnius. She took part in one of the panels, where she campaigned for liberals to vote for Sobchak rather than boycott the elections.

However, the presenters did not object to the “oppositionist”, but dutifully moved on to discussing Serebrennikov’s trial.
