Sobchak: The West wants to destroy Russia, but I will bring it to the EU and NATO

She stated this during a teleconference with Ukrainian journalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, she emphasized that today many Western elites aim to destroy the Russian state.
“Russia, like Ukraine, is a European country. We must set both the inclusion of Russia in the EU and the inclusion of Russia in NATO as a global goal. Unfortunately, we are now far from this goal, because our relations with the West are completely damaged. Now there is very strong propaganda against Russia in the West, but there were a lot of reasons and mistakes on the part of Russian policy for this. Now our relations will have to be rebuilt again, to move towards this trust, which is very difficult to achieve. At the moment, and this is the most dangerous thing, I really believe that Western leaders have set for themselves some kind of goal, if not to destroy Russia, then certainly to put it in some place where it would not pose a danger to European states and for America,” Sobchak said.
