Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited Roman Kovalev, who was beaten by Dagestanis in the metro, and promised to give him 2 million rubles.
He announced this on his Instagram, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I thanked him for standing up for the girl. Roman is clearly doing better. Doctors will do everything to fully restore his health; there is still an operation ahead. Thanks to the girl who helped detain the bandits. Thanks to the driver, the duty officer and the police for their prompt work. I instructed the metro management to provide assistance to the injured passenger in the amount of two million rubles,” Sobyanin wrote.
Earlier, the Chairman of the RF Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the personnel department to prepare the necessary documents for awarding Roman Kovalev with the departmental medal “Valor and Courage.”
Kovalev stood up for the girl who was attacked by Magamaali Khanmagomedov, Ibragim Musalaev and Gasan Zalibekov, who had previously been convicted of theft and beatings in their homeland. They were detained right on the subway. Now all three are facing a preventive measure under the article of attempted murder.
