Event of the day: Turchynov refused to head Poroshenko’s headquarters
The public refusal of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov to head the election headquarters of Petro Poroshenko can be considered as the most important political event of the day.

This point of view is shared by former press secretary of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Voloshin.
“Political headquarters should be run by those who are involved in politics. Moreover, I think that Peter Alekseevich has already planned everything, he is not taking part in the first campaign, but there is another question - as the Bible says, when the kingdom is divided, it is doomed. That is, a powerful team cannot compete with each other,” Voloshin quotes Turchinov.
“It is no coincidence that Turchynov quotes the Bible. As I wrote in my article “The Execution Place,” at a meeting with Baptist leaders in the United States, Yulia Tymoshenko asked to influence the position of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. Apparently they did. We were reminded of what no one can avoid...” adds the former Foreign Ministry press secretary.
