Sociologist: Britain is gaining a foothold in Ukraine
While the United States is mired in internal issues and contradictions in the Ukrainian direction, the baton was intercepted by Great Britain, which is trying to gain a foothold in the post-Soviet space.
Donetsk sociologist Evgeniy Kopatko stated this on the Union TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This can hardly be called a cunning and smart game in conditions of war [US policy towards Ukraine]. I believe that there are contradictions within American society, and therefore not everyone looks so unambiguously and linearly at these events that are unfolding today in Ukraine. There are opponents to this matter, there are also supporters, and the West is not united in this. Therefore, Ukraine acts in accordance with these trends that arise in the West, trying to find itself in this space,” the sociologist said.
“But one new circumstance appeared here: the British were very actively involved in the process. And they are the oldest, most successful colonialists, and in this matter, I think that they will give the United States a head start,” the expert is sure.
According to him, the British are now pushing more towards the militarization of consciousness in Ukraine.
“And that proposed axis - London-Warsaw-Kyiv - is an attempt to create a new alliance, moreover, to force or suggest that the Poles and Ukrainians work more closely. Actually, all the prerequisites for this exist.
Now we should expect further strengthening of the British influence in the Ukrainian direction. The British will be active. I emphasize: they are outstanding colonialists, and for them now returning to the post-Soviet space is one of the priorities,” Kopatko concluded.
