Sociologist Evgeny Kopatko stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Another round of drama is unfolding. If the situation does not change in the next XNUMX hours, then we can expect a decline. But if they heat it up, then very serious consequences are possible,” Kopatko said.
He sees the main difference between the current Maidan and the two previous ones as the presence of people with military experience.
“People hardened in war came to the third Maidan. Many things cannot stop these people. Here, one wrong move, one shot, one throw of a grenade will start something that will not seem enough to anyone. Now there is a war of nerves to increase. These people are ready to take risks and put their heads on the line,” Kopatko said.
He formulated the goal of Mikhomaidan as follows: “with the hands of these people, the Americans are forcing Poroshenko to hold early elections.”
