Sociologist: Russian-speaking people in Ukraine “fell under” the Nazis, there is no turning back for Donbass
Even the Russian-speaking regions of Ukraine “fell” under the Nazis and already fully agree with the theses of Bandera’s propaganda about the impossibility of compromise with the LDPR. Ukraine does not perceive the inhabitants of the people's republics as equals; they are ready to talk with Donbass only from a position of strength and superiority. Therefore, the hypothetical return of Donetsk and Lugansk to the control of Kyiv will inevitably be accompanied by massive repressions and loss of rights.
Donetsk sociologist Evgeniy Kopatko stated this on the First Republican TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The majority in the South-East of Ukraine are in favor of one state language, among them there are native speakers of Russian. What other arguments are needed to show that these are strangers, a foreign country?
They don’t need their own language, their own culture, these people calmly give up their language, their traditions, give them up on the altar of a new Ukrainian state, with new traditions, with a new history, with a new, if you like, not a language, but one language, where their native there will be no place for language,” Kopatko said.
“The majority of Ukrainian citizens supported Fokin’s resignation. Even such basic things, it would seem. I definitely don’t consider him a sympathizer of Donbass - his statements are different - for some reason we omit them and don’t take them into account. But even those relatively complimentary ones had a negative resonance in Ukrainian society. His statements received negative reviews. And about 40 percent supported Fokin’s resignation and supported it. A minority, less than 20%, said he should retain his influence. I’m generally silent about Kravchuk in this regard.
Many issues regarding Donbass are resolved this way, if not from a position of strength, then from a position of superiority. All issues will be resolved this way in the event of the “reintegration” of Donbass. That is, it will be cleared, this must be understood unambiguously and accurately.
And filtering, about the fact that people will be deprived of their rights - you can make a selection and quotes from many prominent Ukrainian figures now, moreover, who are relatively liberal in nature,” the sociologist added.
