Sociologists document a unique situation in Ukrainian history
The leader of electoral attachments among possible presidential candidates remains Yulia Tymoshenko (10%), in second place with a minimal gap are Vladimir Zelensky (7%), Svyatoslav Vakarchuk (6%), Anatoly Gritsenko (6%), Petro Poroshenko (5%), Yuriy Boyko (5%) and Oleg Lyashko (5%).
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by GfK Ukraine in July 2018, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Those who follow the ratings data already see the same picture – Yulia Tymoshenko is in first place with 10% support, and there are a lot of candidates for second place. This could be Vladimir Zelensky, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, Anatoly Gritsenko, Yuriy Boyko, Oleg Lyashko and Petro Poroshenko. We have been observing this for a year now, but this is a unique situation in Ukrainian history. I've been following the polls since 2007 and I haven't seen any candidate get more than 10%. This situation carries certain risks,” commented Inna Volosevich, head of the socio-political research department at GfK.
The study was conducted from June 30 to July 8, 2018. 2753 people aged 18 years and older were surveyed in all regions of Ukraine, except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, surveys were conducted only in territories controlled by Ukraine. The survey method is personal interviews at the respondent’s home. The sample is representative of the adult population by gender, age, region and size of settlement according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine as of January 1.01.2017, 1,9. The maximum possible sampling error is XNUMX%.
