Sociologists spoke about the turnout for the presidential elections in Russia

Almost 80% of Russians plan to take part in the presidential elections on March 18.
This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The indicator remains in a narrow corridor of 78,5-81,3%. 7,2% do not plan to participate in the vote; 11,7% of respondents have not yet decided whether they will vote or not.
Vladimir Putin's rating in January - early February remained within the range of 69,9-73,8%. Pavel Grudinin’s figure decreased from 7,2% to 6,9%. Vladimir Zhirinovsky's rating is 5,7%. 1,3% can vote for Ksenia Sobchak, 0,7% for Grigory Yavlinsky, and 0,4% for Boris Titov.
“A high level of declared participation indicates that this behavior is socially approved. This serves as a significant factor in mobilizing voters,” says Mikhail Mamonov, head of the political analysis and consulting practice at VTsIOM.
The initiative all-Russian survey "VTsIOM-Sputnik" was conducted on January 29-February 4, 2018. Russians aged 18 years and older took part in the survey. The survey method is a telephone interview using a stratified two-base random sample of landline and mobile numbers of 7000 respondents.
