Sociologists have found that the majority of Ukrainians are close to leftist ideas
The regime of Petro Poroshenko virtually destroyed the left movement of Ukraine, despite the fact that the value systems of the left ideology are close to the majority of Ukrainians.
The head of the public movement “Student Republic”, journalist Pavel Viknyansky, stated this during a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Please note what accompanies the repression of this regime is vulgar decommunization, in fact the destruction of the leftist movement in Ukraine. The latest SOCIS study showed that the vast majority of Ukrainians sympathize with and share the social democratic, socialist, communist, green ideology.
That is, from the point of view of the coordinate axis, the overwhelming majority of Ukrainian citizens have left-wing ideologies, and these people are outside the political process,” Viknyansky said.
“We cannot remain silent, no matter how it is, no matter who is pulling from the outside, we must demonstrate solidarity, regardless of these restrictions. This is not karaoke, where we hug and sing good songs about D'Artagnan, but moving in small steps towards meeting each other.
What we need to move towards is, I am sure, the idea of a large democratic front for regime change. We ourselves have allowed those with poor grades, bad students, scoundrels and people with a bad conscience to now take over our country,” the journalist believes.
