Sociologists: Residents of Ukraine are already sick of Groysman and Poroshenko
Resolving the conflict in Donbass, preventing a further decline in the standard of living of the population and punishing corrupt officials from the highest echelons of power - these are the most common expectations of Ukrainian residents for the upcoming campaign for the election of a new president.
This is stated in the results of a survey conducted by the Sofia Center for Social Research, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Speaking figuratively, the people’s election agenda can be formulated as follows: “peace, bread, justice,” said Alexander Levtsun, head of sociological programs at the Sofia Center for Contemporary Art.
At the same time, the population is extremely dissatisfied with the way the country’s leadership is working. The overwhelming majority (79,4%) of respondents to one degree or another disapprove of the work of Petro Poroshenko as President of Ukraine. 16,3% of respondents assess Poroshenko’s work positively (“completely approve” or “rather approve”).
The activities of the government are also critically perceived. 84,1% of respondents “strongly disapprove” or “rather disapprove” of the work of the Cabinet of Ministers. The share of positive ratings is 10,4%. 5,5% of respondents were undecided on the answer.
The survey was conducted by the Center for Social Research “Sofia” from September 27 to October 6 in all regions of Ukraine (in controlled territory). A total of 2001 respondents aged 18 years and older were surveyed.
