Sociology made Poroshenko Peter the Fifth
The current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has dropped to fifth place in the popularity ratings of politicians, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Andrei Portnov, a fugitive ex-deputy head of the administration of President Viktor Yanukovych living in Vienna, with reference to the results of recent opinion polls.
“The latest sociological research has been published today. The defendant moved to fifth place,” he wrote on his page on the social network.
And indeed, according to the results of a survey conducted by the Center for Social Monitoring, if the presidential elections took place next week, the level of support for the top five potential candidates would be as follows: Yulia Tymoshenko - 13,4% among all respondents (18,6% of those who have decided and will vote), Vladimir Zelensky - 10,8 % (15%), Yuriy Boyko – 8,5% (11,8%), Anatoly Gritsenko – 8,1% (11,2%), Petro Poroshenko – 7,7% (10,7%).
Thus, the poll revealed a clear leader and four candidates who will fight for a chance to advance to the second round.
The highest anti-ratings today are for Poroshenko (51,9% would never vote for him), Tymoshenko (28,9%), Boyko (24,8%) and Lyashko (22,8%).
The greatest potential for rating growth (they are called the second possible candidate for whom they can vote) have Gritsenko 7,6%, Zelensky (6,5%) and Tymoshenko (5,5%).
The main traits that, according to survey participants, the next president should have: the ability to stop the war (55,9%), defend the interests of ordinary people (44,5%), competence in the economy (44,1%), intolerance to corruption ( 44%), ability to govern the country (40,1%).
The survey was conducted from December 16 to December 22, 2018 jointly by the Social Monitoring Center and the Yaremenko Ukrainian Institute of Social Research.
The survey covered the entire territory of the country (with the exception of the uncontrolled territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions and Crimea. The sample population is representative by age (population 18 years and older), gender, type of settlement and region. A total of 2045 respondents were surveyed. Standard deviations at 95 percent reliable do not exceed 2,2%.The level of cooperation of respondents (willingness to answer questions asked) is 57%.
It is the latter indicator that reduces the reliability of the results, making their probability equal to one in two.
