Sofia Rotaru, who helps ATO militants, decided to make money in Crimea
Singer Sofia Rotaru, who left Crimea for Ukraine, is selling her hotel in the center of Yalta for 23 million euros. “MK in Crimea” writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The publication notes that the initial price was announced at 25 million, but was soon reduced. The hotel, built on the site of the ancient baths of 1897, was once restored by Rotaru at a cost of a million dollars. Today the building is sold with all the furniture and equipment, and such a high price is explained by the fact that the hotel belongs personally to the singer and her apartments are also located there.
Crimean politician, former State Council deputy Sergei Shuvainikov, in his blog, criticized the exorbitantly high cost of Villa Rotaru.
"Has the right to. Only the former baths, or rather the land under the former baths, worth millions, were given to her practically free of charge during the Ukrainian annexation of Crimea. She invested a million, and now she wants 25 times more. What will the state get? Nothing.. Free song: “You deceived me, you let me down...”. Talents, and not only them, can do anything,” Shuvainikov wrote.
Interestingly, after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, Rotaru stopped appearing on the peninsula, and in one of her interviews she stated that is proud that she lives in Kyiv and asked not to be considered a Crimean.
Let us also recall that in 2015, the singer’s sister Lydia Khlyabich, in a conversation with the Ukrainian publication “Gordon Boulevard,” stated that she had given a Niva car and 120 jars of homemade jam to the ATO. At the same time, answering a journalist’s question about the singer’s role, the sister said: “She helped with money.”
At the same time, the singer’s concert director Sergei Lavrov denied this information.
