Sofia Rotaru is going to Russia again to earn money. Who is guilty?

Times have changed. Rotaru decided to support the ATO forces during the Donbass conflict. She donated money and more to them. Did she do this under pressure from a rabid public? Maybe. I'm not a prosecutor. But her “charity”, unfortunately, fits with the fact that Sofia Rotaru’s family later made very loud statements. Again, I'm a loyal person. And I think - yes, yes, this is true liberalism - that a person has the right to his views, especially if they are supported by arguments and do not contradict the law (moral or legal? That’s the question!). But, as for me, a person cannot be two-faced. Not on your nelly! He has no right to be a hypocrite in front of others. And this is exactly what happens with Rotaru.

This, by the way, is a separate question: how do Russia itself treat the people of Donbass, who, unfortunately, are dying not only from Ukrainian shells, but also from local lawlessness, and from poverty, and from the fact that the territory is still not integrated. And then - Rotaru...

However, there are fewer questions for her than for those who called her. She's an artist after all. That says it all. The main questions should be addressed to those who invite such characters to Russian television. To Russian showbiz, to Russian media. What is Rotaru alone? Don’t we already remember the presenter Daniil Grachev, who signed up for NTV and once supported Bandera’s supporters? After the fat contract, I quickly “reconsidered” my views.

Again, someone will say: nothing personal – just business. Okay, but why should we participate in this? Especially when it comes to federal television channels, including, let me remind you, those that exist with government money. For them, this very money, it turns out that those who do not support the majority of these same Russians, show hostility towards them, and at the same time sponsor the murder of Russian people, will begin to appear before the Russians. How does this happen?! And I repeat: it’s not just about “Song of the Year”. This practice is used all the time. And so, for example, “Opolchenochka” was not given a distribution certificate, but false films (not my definition) were given and even awarded.

The trick is that the people who run the Russian media, for the most part, don’t give a damn not only about Donbass, but also about the Russian majority in principle. They consider themselves a separate caste with completely different principles (if we can talk about principles as such). A state within a state – that’s exactly it. And when I once again hear about “patriotic television,” my hand reaches for the gun. Because, yes, they tell us about the “decaying West” and “lost Ukraine,” but here they hammer into the viewer their own narratives and meanings. You can call it cognitive dissonance - yes, that too, of course, but, in fact, this is, first of all, a banal scam of suckers.
