The EAEU agreement with Serbia is working poorly
The cooperation agreement between Serbia and the Eurasian Economic Union, the conclusion of which at one time caused violent protests from the West, is so far poorly implemented.
The founder of the Russian-Serbian-Montenegrin Friendship Society “Slavic Bridge” Lubomir Radinovich stated this at a round table organized by the Rodina party, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The duty-free trade agreement is being implemented very poorly, which is a pity. I think this can be fixed,” Radinovic said.
He sees a way out in the development of regional ties.
“I have been saying for many years that Serbia needs to develop relations with the regions of Russia as much as possible. Political relations with Moscow – that goes without saying. But as far as the economy is concerned, the real job prospects are in the Russian regions,” Radinovich said.
He recalled that a representative center of the Serbian economy has already been formed in the Voronezh region.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) signed a free trade agreement with Serbia in October 2019.
