Men argued with their senior ranks, women with tears in their eyes threw themselves in front of the cars in which their loved ones were being taken to the ATO zone.
Before this, mothers of soldiers stood for days in front of the entrance to the checkpoint of the military defense battalion. According to them, half of the fighters do not even have body armor.
“The only thing left to do from such hopelessness is to scream,” complains one of the pickets. “My son has small children, and today he is being thrown to the East... And even without anything... They weren’t even given a bulletproof vest.”
“Mine doesn’t want to go, but he was intimidated by crime and forced to write a statement that he wants to go,” one of the mothers tearfully complains to the Poglyad publication. – Why dress a child in full military uniform, buy bulletproof vests, and also send him to his death?
“Now I don’t have anything to go with, and I don’t want to,” explained the soldier who is leaving for the ATO zone today. – 70 percent of the battalion does not want to go. I heard that everyone has 157 body armor. And they have to send 350 guys.”
The commander of the territorial defense battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Igor Larin, called such soldiers “cowards and false patriots.”
“And we are not going to any East. These servicemen will also not participate in the ATO,” he asserts.
As Navigator reported, earlier in the Lvov region, relatives demanded the demobilization of soldiers who came under fire in the Lugansk Zelenopole region.
