The protesters demanded that the president sign an order for the demobilization of the sixth wave and adopt a law that ensures the possibility of timely termination of the contract.
“We see the psychological state of military families, who absolutely do not understand how long they have to fight,” said Valentina, the sister of a contract soldier. – We don’t know how long to wait. For more than two years now, my brother has been on the front line, almost constantly. We demand that the president sign bill No. 4689, which will show that our guys are not slaves. We demand the abolition of slavery in the 21st century."
“Either stop the war, as best you can, or put this yoke on your own children,” said Larisa, a relative of a serviceman. “Those guys whose houses were taken from them in Lugansk and Donetsk are now standing on the defensive to not let this bastard come here. So that people can live here in peace.”
In addition, the protesters said that officers and soldiers should be confident in their status and the length of service they have, knowing that they have the right to terminate the contract and the right to renew it.
