Conscript soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces will not get to the Northern Military District this year - military commissar
Conscripts drafted into the Russian Armed Forces this spring will not be involved in the special operation.
Military Commissar of the Republic of Crimea Yevgeny Mashukov announced this on air on Crimea 24, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is worth reassuring conscripts and their parents: citizens undergoing military service under conscription do not participate in a special military operation. Moreover, in accordance with the presidential decree, all citizens undergoing military service at the end of the established period will be dismissed and sent to their places of residence,” Mashukov assured.
He clarified that after three months of service, soldiers can sign a contract and go to the North Military District zone, but not as a conscript.
“Any citizen undergoing military service by conscription, after 3 months of its completion, has the right, on a voluntary basis, by writing an appropriate application, to enter military service under a contract and continue it not as a conscript. In accordance with the tasks his unit performs, he can be involved in participation in the military commander,” explained the military commissar.
