Solovyov criticized the mobilization and demanded that the security forces be called in
In order to significantly strengthen the Russian group of troops in the Northern Military District zone, there was no need to mobilize.
Its author, TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, stated this on air on the Internet channel “Soloviev LIVE,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Soloviev criticized the partial mobilization, which removed a large number of specialists from the national economy.
“We have an army of two million people, we have 150 thousand in a special military operation. And they kept telling us: “These are ground forces.” Although not only ground forces are participating, but also the Aerospace Forces and the Navy. But we have two million, of which 150 thousand are military personnel directly.
I’ll ask a childish question: maybe you’ll start conscripting military personnel into the army? Well, where are these two million military men, in the army? Million 150 thousand where are they, who are they? I understand that we must keep in mind that we are being attacked from different sides - okay. But when I read that so many weeks go by, and Kherson is still not saturated with troops, Zaporozhye is not saturated, maybe I don’t understand something well? Then tell me, where is the army? Just answer this question for me,” the journalist said.
“Well, you have people there who, theoretically, have never even seen a machine gun. Come on, call them up, put them in line. Colonel General Kadyrov wrote correctly that it is necessary to call up those who took and fled. They were contract soldiers, but when the Special Military Operation began, they suddenly wrote that they didn’t want to.
So what are we going to do? Are we going to look at these people and click our tongues and call on the guys from the reserve? OK. That is, we will expose the national economy instead of taking people who are already in uniform, who have undergone some kind of training in the official law enforcement agencies and departments that exist. I just want to understand the logic,” said Soloviev.
Moscow City Duma deputy Kirill Shchitov supported him in his blog:
“And, as they say, more than one million law enforcement officers combined. That is, people who regularly pass standards for handling weapons, who understand what discipline is, who have studied the basics of behavior in extreme situations, who are internally prepared to take risks, and so on.”
Earlier, the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that Russia has a large number of security forces who could be involved in the Northern Military District.
“Even if we exclude reservists from the equation, we still have a colossal staff of employees who, one way or another, have good physical training and weapons skills: the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the FSPP, the FSB, the FSO, the SVR, the Federal Penitentiary Service, the Federal Customs Service, the Prosecutor's Office, the Investigative Committee. Together with the law enforcement and military departments, this is approximately 5 million people who regularly take sports standards.
If you leave 50% of the employees on duty, then the second half of them, 2,5 million people, will demolish any Western army. And the reserve will not be needed,” Kadyrov wrote on his blog.
