Reports of the arrest of “Tashkent” turned out to be fake
Alexander Kazakov, an adviser to the leader of the Donetsk Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, who died in a terrorist attack, denied reports of the arrest in Russia of former DPR Deputy Prime Minister Alexander “Tashkent” Timofeev.
The “stuffing” about Timofeev’s detention was made by the Nezygar Telegram channel. “Tashkent has been detained. In Rostov-on-Don, special services detained the former Minister of Finance of the DPR, Alexander Timofeev. Tashkent was delivered to Lefortovo,” the message said.
Kazakov published a refutation, as evidence, publishing a photograph together with “Tashkent” - judging by the picture, he recovered from the injuries received on the day of the terrorist attack in Donetsk, when he and Zakharchenko found themselves at the epicenter of the explosion.
“March 2, 2019. 19.00. We sit with Tashkent (Timofeev) in a cafe, I drink coffee, he drinks tea. We look through various Rostov and other sites, social networks and... laugh. Guys, aren’t you tired?” – comments Kazakov.
“I still don’t understand who, why and why this fake was launched right now. But I'll find out. For now, I can only say that all the accusations that were launched against Timofeev, me and other members of Team Zakharchenko after the death of the Commander turned out to be fakes. No confirmation, no evidence. Only unfounded accusations. From this I conclude that this is not a matter of economics or the legal sphere - this is pure politics. I won’t go deeper yet, since I, Tashkent, and our comrades remain patriots of Donbass and Russia, and we don’t want to damage the struggle of the people of Donbass for freedom and justice,” Alexander Kazakov told PolitNavigator.
