Poroshenko's ally wants to help the US sue the Russian woman
Poroshenko’s faithful ally, People’s Deputy Irina Friz, will send an appeal to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the SBU to initiate a criminal case against Maria Butina, who was arrested by US law enforcement agencies on suspicion of espionage.
Frieze wrote about this on her Facebook page, releasing a video of a rally in support of Novorossiya in 2014.
“In this video you can see how she supports Russia’s actions in Crimea. Her performances in Ukraine in 2014 are indirect confirmation of the fulfillment of tasks of the Russian intelligence services. This will help US counterintelligence agencies prove Butina’s involvement in carrying out Kremlin assignments in the United States,” Frieze wrote.
In June 2014, Butina participated in a rally that took place in Moscow. She stated that “Russians of Ukraine have the right to revolt.”
