Deputy Chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration Boris Filatov stated this in an interview with The Kiev Times.
In his opinion, in the next 10 years, Ukraine will have few reasons for optimism.
“Our country is turning into Israel before our eyes. In the sense that we already have our own “Gaza Strip”. A frozen conflict zone from which destructive elements and moods will constantly penetrate. While Putin is in power in Russia, while Russia is in Crimea, Crimea is a destabilizing factor for Ukraine. The only option to avoid danger is to fence yourself off with a high fence, just as the Gaza Strip is fenced off. Well, we now have a neighbor who dreams of “throwing us into the sea,” just as the Arabs dream of doing with Israel,” says the official.
“A mother is not the one who gave birth, but the one who raised. Crimea was raised by Ukraine. Crimea was a stepson for Ukraine. Although no one gives a stepson the right to spit in the face of his adoptive mother,” added Boris Filatov.
